The strange saga of USC's LenDale White took another twist today when the Los Angeles Daily News reported that the 244-pound running back has failed a drug test.
White was asked about the alleged failed test and didn't deny it.
"(The NFL) ain't worried about it," White told the newspaper on Friday. "The issue's been addressed."
But Friday was the day most teams first heard the news. The newspaper cited "several sources" who claimed the bad test result occurred at the combine.
White did not work out at the combine and then injured his hamstring. He added weight and did not run a 40 throughout the post-season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had been interested in White, and had considered trading up for the running back, but have likely soured on him with this latest news, which has been called "strike three" in some circles.
