Steelers sign another draft pick

The Steelers today signed their third draft pick, bringing their roster to the 80-man limit. Each of the next five draft picks to sign will require the team to make a subsequent cut.

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers announced the signing of their third draft pick of this season as they inked the second of two fourth-round picks, defensive end Ryan McBean. Financial terms of the three-year deal were not released.

McBean (6-5, 285), out of Oklahoma State, was the Steelers second fourth-round pick (132nd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. McBean played both defensive tackle and defensive end for the Cowboys, starting 23-of-24 games in which he saw action in his two years at Oklahoma State. He finished his career with 62 tackles (32 solo) and added 7.5 sacks. Prior to signing with the Cowboys, McBean spent two seasons at Hinds (Miss.) Community College and received first-team all-conference honors.

McBean joins punter Daniel Sepulveda (first fourth-round pick) and offensive lineman Cameron Stephenson (first fifth-round pick) who have signed with the Steelers.
