Wolfley Christmas Special

Help Craig and Faith Wolfley "Fight for the Homeless" on Saturday night when the couple hosts BOXING IN THE BRIDGE at their Martial Arts and Sports Complex. Craig Wolfley is a former member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and is currently the sideline reporter for the Steelers Radio Network.

"Fight for the Homeless" will begin with an amateur boxing card consisting of 12 bouts including some of the best amateur boxers in Western PA and the surrounding areas. In addition, a Russian Kettelbell demonstration will take place during the intermission. In attendance will be several local professional boxers, as well as, other sports and media celebrities. Tickets are available for General Admission $15 or Ringside $20, with a $5 discount for anyone who brings a personal care item or donation for the Light of Life.

The Light of Life Rescue Mission will be accepting donations during the event and the need during the holiday season is any type of personal care items for men, women and/or children, as well as, any unwrapped gifts for children. Monetary donations are also welcomed. (complete list of needed items follows.)

In partnership with this great program, MyWayStorage is placing a storage unit at Martial Arts & Sports Complex (412) 257-9868 in Bridgeville and Geno Levi Spirit& Style Salon (412) 833-8100 in McMurray starting December 4th through December 15th and donations may be dropped off during business hours at each location or at the event.

The Martial Arts & Sports Complex serves the Allegheny and Washington County area with programs in Martial Arts, Boxing, Kickboxing, Sports Enhancement Training, as well as a full service 7500 square foot training facility and a full-size professional boxing ring.

Items Needed by Light of Life Rescue Mission

Christmas stockings filled with personal care items are distributed to both male and female program residents as well as the men staying in the emergency overnight shelter.

For men, stockings are filled with: Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Bar soap, Shampoo, Non-aerosol deodorant, Disposable razor, Shaving cream, Socks, Gloves, Christian devotional booklets, Medicated Foot Powder, Cough Drops, Multi-vitamins, Wash Cloths.

Other needed items include: T-shirts, pajamas, new underwear, long underwear (XL&2XL), shower shoes, jeans (sizes 32-34), Small sewing kits, Sweat pants, Tennis Shoes.

For a special touch, we also collect and distribute: Phone cards, Bus passes, Gift cards for Walmart, Giant Eagle, and area bookstores.

For women, needed items include: Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Conditioner, Bar Soap, Non-aerosol deodorant, Scented candles, Notebooks, pens, date planner, Household cleaning products, Toilet paper, Paper towels, New underwear (sizes 7-10), Nail polish and remover, Make-up or cologne, Body lotion and body wash, Ladies' hair accessories, Socks.

For children: (babies thru teens) In addition to personal care articles—coloring books, crayons, paper, safety scissors, non-toxic glue sticks, Hair accessories for girls, New underwear (sizes 2-14), Disposable diapers, New toys (unwrapped), OTC Children's cold medicines, Tylenol, Socks.

Note: Please do NOT collect mouthwash.

Obviously, not all of the above can be placed into stockings, but they can be collected and Light of Life will distribute accordingly.
