Mack Daddy

One of the best interior linemen in the draft, Alex Mack, comes to town Sunday for a visit with the Steelers on Monday.

Alex Mack, Scout.com's top-ranked center in this year's draft class, has a visit scheduled with the Pittsburgh Steelers for April 5–6.

The 6-foot-4, 303-pound offensive lineman has already been busy with team visits and workouts, as previously reported by Scout.com. A potential first-rounder, Mack has captured the attention of NFL teams with his aggressive nature, excellent technique and overall intelligence both on and off the field.

At the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Mack thought his experience as a wrestler has been helpful to his football career.

?Wrestling teaches that hard work, whatever you put into it, will
come out on the wrestling mat," he said.  "So if you lose, you can only blame yourself. It taught me how to work hard, how to do certain things. It taught me how to be mean...I think.?

Well, if it wasn't the wrestling, something certainly did.

Mack has a broad, good-natured smile and an upbeat, outgoing personality off the field. But on the field, he's fierce. He's a first-round talent who can maul his opponent or use his intelligence and technique to gain an advantage.
