Steelers add veteran corner

According to, the Steelers have signed 27-year-old cornerback Keiwan Ratliff to a one-year contract.

Ratliff (5-11, 188) gives the Steelers the No. 4 cornerback they were expected to draft this weekend in the middle rounds.

A second-round draft choice of the Bengals in 2004, Ratliff was a backup for three years before leaving in 2007 for Tampa Bay and then Indianapolis, where he's started four games in two seasons.

One of those starts occurred at Heinz Field last season, and Ratliff was one of the stars in the Colts' 24-20 win. His third-quarter interception of Ben Roethlisberger at the Pittsburgh 30-yard line ignited the Colts' rally from a 17-7 deficit. The left cornerback also made eight tackles in the game.
