European Vacation

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers announced today the allocation of three players to the NFL Europe League this season.

The Steelers have designated offensive guard Dave Costa, wide receiver Darcy Levy and fullback Wes Ours for NFL Europe this spring.

Each NFL team must designate at least three players to play in NFL Europe — down from six last season.

Levy finished the 2002 season on the Steelers' practice squad, while Costa and Ours signed with the Steelers Jan. 23, 2003. The players will be assigned to NFL Europe League teams and then participate in the NFLEL's annual training camp in Tampa, Florida, from Feb. 24 – March 6. Each team will play in two game-condition scrimmages on March 15 and 23. Roster cuts will occur after each session.

The NFL Europe League season kicks off Saturday, April 5 and concludes with World Bowl XI, June 14, at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland.
