Chris Johnson met with Titans

The Tennessee Titans' meeting with holdout Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson didn't inch them closer to a deal with their top offensive player.

Johnson, agent Joel Segal, Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt and vice president of football administration Vin Marino met today in Nashville, Tenn.

"It was important for us to have a face-to-face meeting so that everyone could have a voice and understand the perspective of the other side," Reinfeldt said in a statement. "I'm not sure there was any progress made, but I do think it was beneficial to meet. We were able to discuss several different elements of a potential contract, but there was no agreement on those topics. I do expect to have another conversation with Joel in the next day or so to discuss things further."

So, the stalemate continues with Johnson's fine total piling up at a tab of $30,000 per day.
