Frustration mounting for Frank Gore

Disgruntled about his contract situation as he pursues an extension, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore has reportedly "snapped" at assistant coaches.

According to Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area, Gore, who's due $5 million under his current deal, Gore doesn't want to play this much in the preseason for fear of injury.

Gore's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is set to meet with 49ers management Monday. At this point, though, no deal is apparently imminent.

"I'd be upset, but I'm still a football player," Gore said. "I want to be here for my whole career. That's up to upstairs, the team. If they want me here, I want to be here. I'm just going to come out every day and practice hard."
