Sheppard recently worked out for the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons.
Last year, he started two out of the 13 games he played for the Minnesota Vikings.
Two years ago, he started nine games for the New York Jets.
Sheppard was once a top cornerback during his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, Sheppard, 30, seems to be on the decline in recent years.
