Greg Toler out for season with torn ACL

The Arizona Cardinals absorbed another blow, losing cornerback Greg Toler for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

A magnetic resonance imaging exam revealed the bad news.

Toler was placed on injured reserve. The Cardinals also placed rookie running back Ryan Williams on injured reserve. The team waived-injured wide receiver Max Komar and safety Tommy Irvin.

The Cardinals cut fullback Charles Ali, linebackerCurtis Gatewood, wide receiver Daiveun Curry-Chapman, linebacker Duke Lemmens, offensive tackle Eric Mensik and offensive tackle Jason Speredon.
