Jets acquire Schlauderaff in trade

Trading for rookie offensive guard Caleb Schlauderaff from the Green Bay Packers for an undisclosed conditional draft pick and sending cornerback Dwight Lowery via trade to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Jets cut their roster to 53 players.

Schlauderaff is a sixth-round pick from Utah who started for four years.

Former Buffalo Bills first-round outside linebacker bust Aaron Maybin made the team.

Meanwhile, the Jets cut QB Drew Willy RB Chris Jennings WRs Michael Campbell, Dan DePalma, Scotty McKnight, Patrick Turner TEs Josh Baker, Keith Zinger OLs Trevor Canfield, Pete Clifford, Robby Felix, Matt Kroul, Dennis Landolt, Nevin McCaskill, Zane Taylor, DLs Jarron Gilbert, Lorenzo Washington LBs Matt Berning, Eddie Jones, Joey LaRocque, Brashton Satele and DBs Byron Landor, Ellis Lankster, Davon Morgan, Julian Posey and Tracy Wilson
