Browns IR Fujita and change long snappers

The Cleveland Browns cut former Pro Bowl long snapper Ryan Pontriand and replaced him with Christian Yount. Pontriand botched a snap against the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth quarter. The Browns also shelved veteran linebacker Scott Fujita (hand) and defensive end Emmanuel Stephens (pectoral), placing them on injured reserve.

Fujita and Stephens are both defensive starters, so losing them is a blow to the Browns' outlook.

They promoted linebacker Benjamin Jacobs and defensive lineman Brian Sanford to the active roster from the practice squad.

The Browns signed defensive lineman Ayanga Okpokowuruk, defensive back David Sims and linebacker Brian Smith to the practice squad.
