Torell Troup placed on IR

The Buffalo Bills placed nose guard Torell Troup on injured reserve due to a recurring back injury. A second-round draft pick last year, Troup started twice as a rookie and had 23 tackles with six games and eight tackles this season. His back injury was aggravated during the Bills' loss to the New York Jets.

The Bills promoted defensive end Lionel Dotson from the practice squad to the active roster. Dotson has been on the practice squad all season.

A former Miami Dolphins seventh-round draft pick, Dotson was cut by the Dolphins earlier this year. The Bills signed linebacker Robert Eddins to the practice squad.

He was with the Bills for the first week of the regular season before beingplaced on injured reserve and released with an injury settlement.
