Logan Mankins has a sprained MCL

New England Patriots Pro Bowl offensive guard Logan Mankins sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee, according to the Boston Herald. No surgery will be required. Per the report, Mankins will be sidelined for Sunday's final regular season game against the Buffalo Bills.

However, he is expected back for the playoffs. The Patriots are slated for a first-round bye, providing additional time for Mankins to heal up. For more coverage of the Patriots, go to Patriot Insider at nwe.scout.com. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider
