Steelers hold onto Keith Butler

The Pittsburgh Steelers managed to hold onto linebackers coach Keith Butler after he nearly went to the Indianapolis Colts as their new defensive coordinator. They held on to Butler by assuring him that he will succeed Dick LeBeau as defensive coordinator. LeBeau, 74, is staying on for at least the 2012 season.

The Colts did get former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, who was supposedly going to retire after his contract wasn't extended by Pittsburgh, to come to Indianapolis as their new offensive coordinator.

Butler is ready to become a defensive coordinator, but apparently there's only one job he really wants and that's running the Steelers' defense.
