Panthers sign Jyles Tucker

The Carolina Panthers signed former San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Jyles Tucker to a one-year contract, according to his agent, David Canter. He played for Panthers coach Ron Rivera when he was the Chargers' defensive coordinator. Tucker is a former Wake Forest player who went undrafted five years ago and signed with the Chargers

He has recorded 56 career tackles with 10 sacks. He ended the 2010 season on injured reserve with a torn pectoral and was eventually cut. Tucker has good size for outside linebacker at 6-foot-3, 258 pounds, but is undersized for defensive end.
