Dolphins win coin toss, to pick eighth

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Miami Dolphins won a coin toss over the Carolina Panthers this morning and will pick eighth overall in the first round of the NFL draft. The Panthers will select ninth overall. Both teams finished with identical 6-10 records lat season. A two-sided coin using a Dolphins logo on one side and a Panthers logo on the other was used for the coin toss.

The Dolphins' previous selection the last time they selected in this spot: Hall of Fame fullback Larry Csonka in 1968.
