49ers ink Ahmad Brooks to six-year deal

The San Francisco 49ers signed linebacker Ahmad Brooks to a six-year, maximum value $44.5 million contract. He'll make at least $7 million annually. Brooks recorded seven sacks last season, recording 50 tackles, seven sacks and one forced fumble

The 49ers led the NFL in rushing defense. Brooks forced five fumbles three years ago. A former University of Virginia standout, Brooks is the son of former Washington Redskins defensive lineman Perry Brooks.
