Source: Jets ink Pouha to three-year deal

The Jets ink a deal with their nose guard, according to sources.

The team hammered out a three-year contract with nose guard Sione Pouha prior to the start of the free agency signing period, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Financial terms weren't immediately available.

Pouha was set to become an unrestricted free agent with his three-year, $6.8 million contract expiring.

Pouha, 33, registered 58 tackles last season with one sack, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

The 6-foot-3, 325-pound anchor is a former third-round draft pick from Utah.

For his career, Pouha has recorded 234 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and one safety.
