Raiders to work out Leinart, Sorgi

Veteran quarterbacks Matt Leinart and Jim Sorgi are scheduled to work out for the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday. Sorgi's agent, Matt Brei, announced that Sorgi would audition for the AFC West club. Scout has confirmed Leinart's workout through a league source. Leinart is a former Heisman Trophy winner who's a former Arizona Cardinals first-round draft pick.

Beaten out by Kurt Warner in Arizona and later released, Leinart dislocated his shoulder against the Jacksonville Jaguars last season for the Houston Texans in relief of an injured Matt Schaub. He was placed on injured reserve.

Leinart has had an uneven career with 15 touchdown passes and 20 interceptions.

Sorgi once backed up Peyton Manning with the Indianapolis Colts. He's a former Colts sixth-round draft pick from Wisconsin who has also played for the New York Giants.

He spent the 2010 season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
