Source: Ex-Saints LB Humber suspended

Former New Orleans Saints linebacker Ramon Humber has been suspended by the NFL for the first three games of the season, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

The reason for the suspension was undisclosed.

The 24-year-old Humber recorded 21 tackles and a sack last season in 13 games with three starts for the Saints.

Humber is a free agent, and the Saints have not given him an offer. He will have to serve his suspension with whichever team that signs him.

The 5-foot-11, 232-pounder from North Dakota State has a previous stint with the Indianapolis Colts, where he began his NFL career.

In four NFL seasons, Humber has registered 57 career tackles with one forced fumble.
