Wilson was released by the Arizona Cardinals on Friday, the organization announced. Wilson spent 12 seasons with the Cardinals.
Like a lot of teams are doing right now, Arizona released Wilson for financial reasons. The Cardinals will save an estimated $3 million in cap space by terminating Wilson's contract.
Though Wilson's already had a long NFL career, by no means does he look finished. Wilson figures to latch on with another team for the upcoming 2013 season.
