Philadelphia Eagles
2013 draft picks:
1st round (4), 2(35), 3(67), 4(101), 5(136), 7 (210, 212, 218, 239)

It will be a completely different team in Philadelphia, led by new head coach Chip Kelly. New coaches, new systems and lots of new players on both sides of the ball.

The Eagles have been very active during the off-season, making a few trades and adding some players on both sides of the ball. Coming over to Philly are quarterback Dennis Dixon, wide receiver Arrelious Benn, tight end James Casey, offensive tackle Ed Wang, defensive ends Conner Barwin, Emmanuel Acho and Clifton Geathers, nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga, inside linebacker Jason Phillip, safeties Kenny Phiilips and Patrick Chung and cornerbacks Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher.

With the addition there have been some subtractions. No longer with the Eagles is cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, running back Dion Lewis, fullback Stanley Havili, offensive tackle King Dunlap, defensive end Darryl Tapp, and defensive tackles Cullen Jenkins, Mike Patterson and Derek Landri.

What will the Eagles do in the upcoming draft? There is a lot of uncertainty as to the direction they will do at certain positions. It should be a lot of fun to watch it all unfold.

Draft Needs
1) Quarterback
Regardless of what the roster looks like today at the quarterback position with guys like Michael Vick and Dennis Dixon Kelly must find the long term pilot for his offense. Could it be a guy like Geno Smith, who they would have to check with their first pick or might they make a big gamble on a guy like E.J. Manuel later on in the draft? Maybe it's Matt Scott? QB is paramount in the NFL and to run Kelly's offense. Certainly Vick should be very serviceable but he's not the long term answer. They must find and develop a long term signal caller.

2) Offensive Tackle
The Eagles have talent at this position but the guys have been hurt. They need to get younger and more athletic. If they elect to go for this position early in the first round they should get either Luke Joeckel, Eric Fisher or Lane Johnson. Then again, Philly could address this need in the second round and later a pretty good o-tackle there. Perhaps Menelik Watson slides. They need help here and I certainly believe they address this position in the draft. Reid Fragel, Brennan Williams, and Chris Faulk are a few guys they could look to in the middle of the draft.

3) Cornerback
Two veteran corners were signed by the Eagles. They will still draft another and it could be in the first or second round. The top cornerback in the draft, Dee Milliner, should be available at their spot. He they choose to wait there's no question the Eagles could select a good one in round two or three. It's a deep year.

4) Pass Rusher(s)
The Eagles could use both a defensive end and outside linebacker pass rusher in the draft. Early on they could grab a guy like Star Lotulelei or Sharrif Floyd at end or Dion Jordan, Jarvis Jones or Barkevious Mingo at outside linebacker. It appears two or perhaps three of those guys could be off the board, depending on what Kansas City, Jacksonville and Oakland do in front of them. Kelly could draft Jordan, if available. Coaching him at Oregon gives him a great insight to this talented athlete and what he could bring to the Philly defense. If they wait until later in the draft there is some depth at both of these positions but the caliber of player dips.

5) Nose Tackle
Anytime you transition from one scheme to another there's always a gap in the talent and personnel because typically you don't have the right fits. That's exactly what has happened with the Eagles. Sure they have addressed some areas via free agency but they haven't nailed them all. They did sign nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga but Philly needs to land another in the draft.
