Eight players sidelined for 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers placed linebacker Darius Fleming, running back Kendall Hunter, wide receiver Mario Manningham and receiver Kyle Williams active-physically unable to perform list. Defensive end Tank Carradine, defensive tackle Quinton Dial, running back Marcus Lattimore and tackle Luke Marquardt were placed on the active-non-football injury list

They're still accounted for on the 90-man roster.

The 49ers can activate those players once they pass a physical.

If they are still not practicing when the season starts, they'll be placed on the reserve-physically unable to perform list and will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season.

The 49ers could place wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who has a torn Achilles' tendon, on the injured reserve list, possibly with a designation for return following the first eight games.
