Titans Draft Preview

Chris Johnson is no longer with the Titans and running back is a big need in Tennessee. Here's a look at their off-season moves and other needs going into the NFL draft.

Tennessee Titans
2014 draft picks:
1st round (11), 2(42), 4(112), 5(151), 6(186), 7(228)

After a promising start to the 2013 season, Tennessee struggled and finished with a disappointing 7-9 season. Quarterback Jake Locker couldn't stay healthy. Is he really the guy to lead this franchise or will the Titans be looking to draft their future signal caller. Tennessee is also looking for a pass rush and must find a running back after cutting ties with the speedy Chris Johnson.

1. Cornerback
The Titans lost Alterraun Verner in free agency to Tampa Bay so they will need to address this position somewhere in the top half of this draft.

2. Outside Linebacker
The Titans need to land a guy who can come off the edge and get after the quarterback. The question is at what point of the draft do they pull the trigger and select an outside linebacker? This is important, especially considering their switch to a 3-4 defense.

3. Running Back
Simply, Tennessee has to find a starting running back from this draft with Johnson no longer a member of the team.

4. Quarterback
The Titans could have a difficult decision to make at No. 11 [overall]. There could be some big name quarterbacks still on the board. It all depends on how their board stacks up between the need here versus the best available. I have my doubts about Locker and he has a lot to prove this season.
