2015 NFL Mock Draft 7.0

All the underclassmen have declared for the NFL draft. That deadline was January 15th. See the latest Mock Draft here, with the Buccaneers making the first pick.

Last week was the deadline for all underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft. That list is here.

So the draft pool is now complete and there are only two teams left that are gunning for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Seattle will take on New England in the Super Bowl. Check out the latest Scout Mock Draft below.

Note: The Browns own the Bills first-round selection after Buffalo traded up with Cleveland last year to select wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Height: 6'4
Weight:230
Hometown: Bessemer, Ala.
College: Florida State
Class: 2014 SO
Position: QB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 8
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Lovie Smith
2014 Record: 2-14

ANALYSIS: For the fifth time in franchise history Tamp Bay has the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. This is a team that began in 1976 and has yet to have a sustained franchise quarterback. In all, they have started 37 different quarterbacks over the past 38 seasons. Do they grab a quarterback with the top overall pick when they have huge holes on the offensive line and are in desperate need for a pass rusher? In a quarterback driven league the Bucs have to go get their guy and decide between Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston. Mariota is the safer pick of the two if you are concerned with Winston off the field. But after a 2-14 season Lovie Smith and his staff can’t wait. They need a signal caller this fall and Winston is the more NFL ready of the two.

2
Tennessee Titans

Height: 6'4
Weight:219
Hometown: Honolulu, Hi.
College: Oregon
Class: 2014 JR
Position: QB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 7
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Ken Whisenhunt
2014 Record: 2-14

ANALYSIS: If the Titans believe quarterback Zach Mettenberger is the answer than I see them going with a pass rusher here or trading out of the spot. But I am not convinced that Mettenberger is the long term solution. So with Winston off the board Tennessee has to go with quarterback Marcus Mariota. It may take a bit of time and the club will need to show some patience with his development. But there’s no reason why he can’t be a really good quarterback on Sundays.

3
Jacksonville Jaguars

Height: 6'5
Weight:295
Hometown: Daytona Beach, Fla.
College: USC
Class: 2014 JR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 1
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Gus Bradley
2014 Record: 3-13

ANALYSIS: There is no change here with Jacksonville. The Jags continue to build up their defense and grab defensive lineman Leonard Williams from Southern Cal. He's a big time talent who's physical and versatile. Gus Bradley can work him in the lineup in a variety of ways in Jacksonville. Right now I think he's the top non-quarterback in this draft. Williams is athletic and versatile enough to play the three or five-technique.

RND 1
4
Oakland Raiders

Height: 6'6
Weight:240
Hometown: Fishers, Ind.
College: Nebraska
Class: 2014 JR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 16
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Tony Sparano
2014 Record: 3-13

ANALYSIS: I am a huge Amari Cooper fan. In fact I have been since I first saw him play four years ago in high school. However, I think picking in the No. 4 hole may be a tad high for this Alabama wide receiver. In addition, with new coach Jack Del Rio having a defensive background he’s going to want to shore up his defense. Oakland hit a home run last May with the selection of Khalil Mack. Here they find a pass rushing, athletic defensive end to pair with him in Randy Gregory from Nebraska. The two should work very well together.

RND 1
5
Washington Redskins

Player: Andrus Peat
Height: 6'7
Weight:316
Hometown: Chandler, Az.
College: Stanford
Class: 2014 JR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 29
Pos Rank: 4

Head Coach: Jay Gruden
2014 Record: 3-13

ANALYSIS: Assuming RG3 is still the franchise quarterback for the Redskins then you have to keep him upright and healthy. That means building up the offensive front. Washington could decide among all the offensive line prospects. Here I go with the guy I believe fits the best - Andrus Peat from Stanford. This is a very big and athletic tackle that just needs some refinement.

RND 1
6
New York Jets

Player: Amari Cooper
Height: 6'1
Weight:210
Hometown: Miami, Fla.
College: Alabama
Class: 2014 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 2
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach:
2014 Record: 4-12

ANALYSIS: The Jets now have a general manager and a new coach with Todd Bowles. So the big decision with this draft is what does New York do with their first pick? They are a mess, especially offensively and could go in a number of directions. New York could trade up for a quarterback, draft Amari Cooper or address their front. They also need help on the other side of the ball at a few different spots. In this mock they just grab the best player on the board in Amari Cooper.

RND 1
7
Chicago Bears

Player: Dante Fowler
Height: 6'3
Weight:277
Hometown: St. Petersburg, Fla.
College: Florida
Class: 2014 JR
Position: OLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 3
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach:
2014 Record: 5-11

ANALYSIS: Did you see Fowler play in the Birmingham Bowl? He looked fantastic for the Florida defense. This is an athletic defensive end that has shown great versatility. I once saw him in a high school game play quarterback, running back, full back, tight end, wide receiver and all over the defensive front. Yeah, he’s pretty darn athletic and I think the Bears would love him here. Fowler looks like a nice fit in a John Fox defense.

RND 1
8
Atlanta Falcons

Player: Shane Ray
Height: 6'3
Weight:245
Hometown: Kansas City, Mo.
College: Missouri
Class: 2014 JR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 13
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: 0
2014 Record: 6-10

ANALYSIS: Regardless of the next coach Atlanta will still need to find a pass rusher. There are plenty of possibilities at No. 8. Shane Ray from Missouri gets the nod her. He had a big season for the Tigers and is an explosive guy on the edge with size and speed.

RND 1
9
New York Giants

Player: Vic Beasley
Height: 6'3
Weight:235
Hometown: Adairsville, Ga.
College: Clemson
Class: 2014 SR
Position: OLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 10
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Tom Coughlin
2014 Record: 6-10

ANALYSIS: The Giants need help on both fronts and could really use a pass rusher. They also need linebacker. Here, New York lands outside/linebacker defensive end Vic Beasley from Clemson. He had a great career for the Tigers getting after the quarterback.

RND 1
10
St. Louis Rams

Height: 6'5
Weight:320
Hometown: Denison, Ia.
College: Iowa
Class: 2014 SR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 4
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach:
2014 Record: 6-10

ANALYSIS: The Rams would love to add another top notch offensive lineman. Brandon Scherff is a tackle that could slide inside and play guard or both. He’s a physical presence in the trenches that would mesh well in St. Louis and playing in that division. He could be next season’s Zach Martin.

RND 1
11
Minnesota Vikings

Player: Trae Waynes
Height: 6'1
Weight:182
Hometown: Kenosha, Wis.
Class: 2014 JR
Position: CB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 6
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Mike Zimmer
2014 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: The Vikings could very well go wide receiver here or even offensive line. Safety Landon Collins is still on the board. But Minnesota could also take the first cornerback off the board. They go that route in this mock with Michigan State's Trae Waynes.

RND 1
12
Cleveland Browns

Height: 6'2
Weight:340
Hometown: Auburn, Wa
College: Washington
Class: 2014 SR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 8
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Mike Pettine
2014 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: Cleveland has to continue to address their defense, specifically their run defense. Shelton will give them a huge inside presence and anchor in the middle.

RND 1
13
New Orleans Saints

Height: 6'5
Weight:305
Hometown: Allen, Texas
College: Texas A&M
Class: 2014 SR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 85
Pos Rank: 9

Head Coach: Sean Payton
2014 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: The Saints could go a number of different directions but something was amiss with their offense. A guy like Cedric Ogbuehi could play tackle or guard in New Orleans.

RND 1
14
Miami Dolphins

Height: 6'5
Weight:321
Hometown: Baton Rouge, La.
College: LSU
Class: 2014 SR
Position: OG
Rating:
Overall Rank: 18
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Joe Philbin
2014 Record: 8-8

ANALYSIS: I had running back Melvin Gordon to Miami last month but La'El Collins is available to the Dolphins. He's a powerful and versatile offensive lineman that can play right tackle or guard. Miami continues to rebuild their offensive front.

RND 1
15
San Francisco 49ers

Player: Kevin White
Height: 6'3
Weight:209
Hometown: Plainfield, N.J.
College: West Virginia
Class: 2014 SR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 14
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Jim Harbaugh
2014 Record: 8-8

ANALYSIS: The 49ers need to upgrade their wide receiver corps. Lots of options here but the call goes to West Virginia's Kevin White. He has all the tools and is coming off a huge 2014 campaign.

RND 1
16
Houston Texans

Height: 6'0
Weight:222
Hometown: Geismar, La.
College: Alabama
Class: 2014 JR
Position: S
Rating:
Overall Rank: 24
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Bill O'Brien
2014 Record: 9-7

ANALYSIS: The Texans could use help on offense, most notably a quarterback and wide receiver. Houston also needs an upgrade in the secondary. Here they get one with the draft's top safety - Landon Collins.

RND 1
17
San Diego Chargers

Player: Todd Gurley
Height: 6'1
Weight:226
Hometown: Tarboro, N.C.
College: Georgia
Class: 2014 JR
Position: RB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 12
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Mike McCoy
2014 Record: 9-7

ANALYSIS: Hands down Todd Gurley is one of the best players in this draft. But he's coming off a knee injury and he's a running back. The Chargers get a steal here. Gurley will give the San Diego run game a huge charge.

RND 1
18
Kansas City Chiefs

Height: 6'3
Weight:215
Hometown: Louisville, Ky.
College: Louisville
Class: 2014 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 5
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Andy Reid
2014 Record: 9-7

ANALYSIS: The Chiefs didn't score a passing touchdown to a wide receiver all season. That's truly an amazing stat that shouldn't ever happen. KC needs serious help here and that's why they get DeVante Parker.

RND 1
19
Cleveland Browns

Height: 6'6
Weight:225
Hometown: St. Louis, Mo.
College: Oklahoma
Class: 2014 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 20
Pos Rank: 4

Head Coach: Mike Pettine
2014 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: For several mocks I have had the Browns drafting linebacker Benardrick McKinney here. They need help in the middle. Cleveland also needs help at wide receiver and Dorial Green-Beckham is quite a talent. In this mock the Browns get help on both sides of the ball.

RND 1
20
Philadelphia Eagles

Height: 6'1
Weight:228
Hometown: Sacramento, Calif.
College: Washington
Class: 2014 JR
Position: OLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 39
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Chip Kelly
2014 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: I had the Eagles go cornerback here last month but Shaq Thompson was already long gone. He's not in this mock draft and this is an absolute steal for Chip Kelly's defense. Philadelphia just filled a need with an outstanding athlete with tremendous speed and versatility.

RND 1
21
Cincinnati Bengals

Player: Alvin Dupree
Height: 6'4
Weight:264
Hometown: Irwinton, Ga.
College: Kentucky
Class: 2014 SR
Position: TE
Rating:
Overall Rank:
Pos Rank:

Head Coach: Marvin Lewis
2014 Record: 10-5-1

ANALYSIS: The Bengals need to improve their pass rush. Here, they get Bud Dupree from Kentucky, one of the very best guys in this draft in getting after the quarterback.

RND 1
22
Pittsburgh Steelers

Height: 6'0
Weight:196
Hometown: Ocala, Fla.
College: Florida State
Class: 2014 JR
Position: CB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 52
Pos Rank: 6

Head Coach: Mike Tomlin
2014 Record: 11-5

ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh needs to address the secondary and here they get a good sized, physical and athletic cornerback in P.J. Williams from Florida State. He looks like a good fit in the Steeler secondary.

RND 1
23
Detroit Lions

Height: 6'4
Weight:314
Hometown: Washington, D.C.
College: Florida State
Class: 2014 JR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 51
Pos Rank: 6

Head Coach: Jim Caldwell
2014 Record: 11-5

ANALYSIS: The Lions could go cornerback here or even address the offensive front. But instead they go and get Eddie Goldman from FSU. He’s a talented defensive tackle that will help bolster that stout defense.

RND 1
24
Arizona Cardinals

Height: 6'3
Weight:246
Hometown: Hau'ula, Hi.
College: Washington
Class: 2014 SR
Position: OLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 103
Pos Rank: 10

Head Coach: Bruce Arians
2014 Record: 11-5

ANALYSIS: I could certainly see the Cardinals very tempted to grab running back Melvin Gordon here. Instead, they go the defensive route in selecting Kikaha, a guy that makes a ton of plays behind the line of scrimmage from Washington.

RND 1
25
Carolina Panthers

Height: 6'6
Weight:324
Hometown: Miami, Fla.
College: Miami
Class: 2014 JR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 23
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Ron Rivera
2014 Record: 7-8-1

ANALYSIS: The Panthers need to continue their upgrade on offense. Here they go the tackle route and land Flowers from Miami. You have to protect Cam Newton better and he will also give the run game a boost.

RND 1
26
Baltimore Ravens

Height: 6'1
Weight:213
Hometown: Kenosha, Wis.
College: Wisconsin
Class: 2014 JR
Position: RB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 15
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: John Harbaugh
2014 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: I believe there are two first round running backs in this draft in Gurley and Melvin Gordon. The Ravens get their guy here in Gordon, who was spectacular as a Badger.

RND 1
27
Dallas Cowboys

Height: 6'0
Weight:190
Hometown: Oakland, Calif.
College: Washington
Class: 2014 JR
Position: CB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 9
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Jason Garrett
2014 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: It's safe to assume that at this point Marcus Peters is arguably the top cornerback in this draft. Having said that how much will his dismissal from the Huskies hurt his stock? It won't with Jerry Jones and Dallas.

RND 1
28
Denver Broncos

Player: Cam Erving
Height: 6'6
Weight:308
Hometown: Moultrie, Ga.
College: Florida State
Class: 2014 SR
Position: C
Rating:
Overall Rank: 31
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: John Fox
2014 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: You have to protect your aging quarterback Peyton Manning. Flowers is a talented player that's moving up the draft charts. He's very talented but needs more refinement.

RND 1
29
Indianapolis Colts

Player: TJ Clemmings
Height: 6'6
Weight:315
Hometown: Teaneck, N.J.
College: Pitt
Class: 2014 SR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 37
Pos Rank: 5

Head Coach: Chuck Pagano
2014 Record: 11-5

ANALYSIS: The Colts go offensive line here and land one of the top prospects in the draft in Pitt's T.J. Clemmings. He could play tackle or guard and help protect Andrew Luck.

RND 1
30
Green Bay Packers

Height: 6'5
Weight:249
Hometown: Tunica, Miss.
Class: 2014 JR
Position: MLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 75
Pos Rank: 4

Head Coach: Mike McCarthy
2014 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: Green Bay could use a tight end and another pass rusher. But Benardrick McKinney falls right in their lap. Now they have their inside 'backer.

RND 1
31
New England Patriots

Height: 6'2
Weight:320
Hometown: Brenham, Texas
College: Texas
Class: 2014 JR
Position: RB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 193
Pos Rank: 17

Head Coach: Bill Belichick
2014 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: The Patriots could go offensive line or even wide receiver or tight end here. But they could also address a big need on the defensive front. I don't think they would pass on the big and athletic defensive tackle Danny Shelton from Washington if he were available here.

RND 1
32
Seattle Seahawks

Height: 6'3
Weight:215
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pa.
College: Michigan
Class: 2014 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 97
Pos Rank: 14

Head Coach: Pete Carroll
2014 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: I had Dorial Green-Beckham going to the Seahawks last week but he's gone here. Devin Funchess fills a need and is a very good athlete.
