Landon Collins sits at No. 10 on Scout's prospect rankings for the 2015 NFL Draft. Watch him run over the competition back in high school while we wait to see where he signs the dotted line.
Coming out of Dutchtown (La.) in 2012, Landon Collins was the No. 2 safety and the No. 8 prospect on Scout. He lived up to that five-star ranking the last three years at the University of Alabama. Collins was both an All-American and All-SEC safety for the Crimson Tide, and although he was the defensive leader in 2014 and finished his career with just under 200 total tackles, five interceptions, and a defensive touchdown, he still may be most popular for his commitment to the Crimson Tide over in-state LSU January 6, 2012 live on ESPN. It was not for the fact that he went against the odds, and left the state, but it was his mother, April Justin's reaction to his decision. After he committed to Alabama, she dropped her head, put the LSU gloves up to the screen, and said, "LSU is No. 1." That is still talked about in the recruiting world today.
Collins went on to say that his mind was made up two years before his declaration was made public. He was the anchor for UA the same way he was for Dutchtown in high school and he went about his business, he made big plays on the field, and he is now set to be a millionaire in near future.
