And even though Nkemdiche is a rare talent, his off-the-field behavior may cause teams to pass on him at the next level.
At the NFL Combine Friday, he talked about the incident that led to his suspension before the Sugar Bowl. Nkemdiche fell from a hotel window near Atlanta and was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Addressing the media, he admits only to drinking, and says former Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil was with him at the time.
Nkemdiche also admitted to being lazy on some plays. "I'm going to keep growing as a player and learning how to finish," he said.
