Maurice Canady Honors Fallen Police Officer with Inscription on Cleats

University of Virginia defensive back Maurice Canady plans to auction off his inscribed cleats to raise money for a Virginia officer's memorial fund.

Over the weekend, a Virginia police officer was killed on her first day on the job while answering a domestic dispute call. To honor the sacrifice of Prince William County officer Ashley Guindon, 28, former University of Virginia cornerback Maurice Canady wore cleats inscribed with her name and the message "Never Forget" during his workouts at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.  Canady will auction one of the cleats to raise money for Guindon's memorial fund, donating the other to the family.

Canady, whose aunt was murdered according to the NFL Network, has a cousin who is a Maryland police officer.
