Ravens lineman Jeremy Zuttah had his dog serve as his wedding groomsman

The dog was Zuttah's ace in the hole.

Baltimore Ravens center Jeremy Zuttah was married last month, and we mention this to you because he made an unconventional choice for a groomsman: his dog, Ace.

Ace walked down the aisle with Zuttah at his wedding, sporting a fitted tuxedo. According to BarkPost.com, the wedding was moved from City Hall to a converted gym so the pit bull could partake in the ceremony.

Zuttah and his bride, Heran Haile, met over eight years ago at Rutgers, and Ace, who was part of an unexpected litter born to a friend's dog, has been a part of their lives ever since. Both are strong advocates for pet adoption as well as animal spaying and neutering. Heran, who originally suggested Ace be traded in, has clearly had a change of heart.

Zuttah was drafted by the Buccaneers in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2008 draft, and played for Tampa Bay through 2013. He has started at center for the Ravens each of the past two seasons, although his 2015 campaign was cut short by a torn pectoral. He is expected to be ready for camp, but it's clear that no matter what happens, Ace will always be at his side.
