Tackle Jake Long agrees to one-year deal with Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens sign a veteran on the offensive line, but can he stay healthy?

The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement on a one-year deal with free agent OT Jake Long pending a physical exam, the team announced.

Long is a former No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins who has been productive when healthy. The former Michigan Wolverines standout is a four-time Pro-Bowler, but injuries have plagued his contributions on the field recently.

The Ravens are the fourth team Long has played for in eight-years, the last being the Atlanta Falcons in 2015, where he only appeared in four games after tearing his ACL for the second time in two seasons.

Long should provide added depth on the offensive line and another veteran presence in the Ravens locker room.
