HOUSTON TEXANS (3-1)
AT MINNESOTA VIKINGS (4-0)
With the last meeting between the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings taking place in 2012, before either of the head coaches were in place, the history between the two teams is irrelevant, but the matchups are crucial.
The Vikings have proven to be adept at shutting down the top receiving options for each of their opponents this season and they will have a challenge again on Sunday against the Houston’s receiving corps.
DeAndre Hopkins has 27 catches for 348 yards and two touchdowns in his last four games against NFC opponents, but this might be his biggest test yet. The Vikings held Kelvin Benjamin to no catches two weeks ago and Odell Beckham Jr. to his a career-low 23 yards on three catches last week. That could mean a bigger opportunity for rookie Will Fuller, who had a touchdown catch and a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown last week, becoming one of only four rookies in the past 15 yards with that combination of touchdowns in the same game.
Both teams feature new starting quarterbacks in their lineup this year, with Brock Osweiler for the Texans and Sam Bradford for the Vikings. Bradford is getting the best of that with a 105.5 passer rating (third in the NFL), four touchdowns and no interceptions in his three starts. Osweiler has 949 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions in his first season with the Texans.

ATLANTA FALCONS (3-1)
AT DENVER BRONCOS (4-0)
The defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos are known for their defense. The Atlanta Falcons have the NFL’s top offense and the top-ranked passing offense. It’s strength on strength in this matchup.
Last week, Matt Ryan threw for a career-high 503 yards, only the 19th time in NFL history a quarterback surpassed 500 yards. Ryan also had four touchdowns and a 142 rating in that game, and has at least three touchdowns in two of the past three games against an AFC opponent. His top target last week was Julio Jones, who had 12 catches for 300 yards and a touchdown, the sixth player in NFL history with at least 300 receiving yards in a game. However, the Broncos are the fourth-ranked defense and second-ranked passing defense.
Broncos QB Trevor Siemian is in his first season as a starter and has won his first four games, including 2-0 at home. He has a 99.6 passer rating with six touchdowns and three interceptions, but he didn’t practice on Wednesday because of a left shoulder injury. If can't go, rookie Paxton Lynch, who replaced him in a winning effort last week, will get the call.
But with the Broncos defense, LB Von Miller is back to his top-performing ways, winning AFC Defensive Player of the Month in September. He has 10½ sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception in his past six games, including the playoffs.

NEW YORK GIANTS (2-2)
AT GREEN BAY PACKERS (2-1)
Three years ago at home, the New York Giants beat the Green Bay Packers 27-13. Three years prior to that, the Packers, playing at home, beat the Giants 45-17. In each of those games, the winner had a 100-yard receiver.
Both of those receivers, Jordy Nelson for the Packers and Victor Cruz for the Giants, are still around and a big part of the strength of each of those offenses. The Packers’ top receiver is still Nelson, who is improving as he works his way back from a lost season because of a knee injury. The Giants now sport Odell Beckham, Jr. as their top receiver and have added a shifty rookie in Sterling Shepard.
Beckham has seven or more receptions in two of his last three games, but was held to a career-low 23 yards on three catches Monday night, while Nelson had six catches, 101 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ last game before their bye.
This Sunday night game will be about the aerial attacks behind Eli Manning, who already has 1,186 yards but has as many interceptions as touchdowns (four apiece), for New York, and Aaron Rodgers, who has just over half that many yards but seven touchdowns and one interception, for Green Bay.
