NFL odds since last Super Bowl: Panthers fall, Vikings rise

A look at the odds to win Super Bowl LI, from immediately after Super Bowl 50 to where teams stand now.

Back in February, the New England Patriots had a share of the best odds to win Super Bowl LI in 2017 and now are the favorite all alone, according to Bovada.lv.

The Carolina Panthers, who had a share of that lead with 9/1 odds to win the next Super Bowl after being the runner-up in Super Bowl 50, are the biggest loser in odds from Feb. 8 until this week besides those teams that are essentially out of it now with odds of 200/1 or worse. The Panthers’ odds have decreased more than four times over, now at 40/1.

On the other end of the spectrum are the Minnesota Vikings, who have increased their odds from 25/1 after Super Bowl 50 to 7/1 as the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL with a 5-0 record.

The Oakland Raiders have been another big mover in the right direction. They started the process with 66/1 odds following the last Super Bowl and are now 25/1 to win Super Bowl LI. The Atlanta Falcons have moved from 33/1 to 16/1.

The top five favorites from earlier this week are the Patriots (7/2), Vikings (7/1), Pittsburgh Steelers 7/1, Green Bay Packers (8/1) and Seattle Seahawks (17/2).
