Offensively, the Owls option attack is not conducive to players projecting well at the next level, especially in the passing game. Were there a single receiving threat on the roster with pro-potential it would be Marcus Battle, a quick yet small receiver with decent hands and the ability to break the deep reception. Robbie Beck is a nice sized fullback that will get some looks, but an offensive threat that must improve his blocking skills.
There's not much to talk of on defense. Jeff Vanover is a hard working linebacker that projects to the middle at the next level but has terrible size/speed numbers. At one time we thought highly of corner Patrick Dendy but his play has fallen off. He now moves back into the starting line-up and could get late round consideration should he turn in a good campaign.
