--C-LS Tom Ackerman will snap on field goal and PATs while Ken Amato will keep snapping for punts. Amato blew a snap on a PAT early in the win over Oakland.
--DE Jevon Kearse said he didn't notice his left foot
at all Sunday night against Oakland. The limited first half rush was by design,
as the Titans were looking to be in Rich Gannon's way. They let loose more in
the second half, and Kearse had a sack.
--TE Erron Kinney is
likely to get more chances in the pass game as long as Frank Wycheck
(concussion) is shut down. Kinney was already expected to get more action after
slimming down and improving his route-running during the
--TE Shad Meier has been inconsistent in limited
chances in his career so far. But his time has arrived. With Frank Wycheck
(concussion) shut down for a stretch, Meier will be on the field a lot and have
a chance to establish himself as a contributor.
Wycheck is out of Sunday's game in Indianapolis and probably longer as the
Titans have shut him down and will give him as much time as possible to recover
from two recent concussions.
--CB Andre Woolfolk (toe) has a
chance to return to practice Wednesday and be part of the plan against the
Colts, but it's also possible he won't dress.
--RB Chris Brown
(hamstring) will have plenty of opportunity once he is healthy and back in
action. That could be as early as this week.
--RB Robert Holcombe will likely work some as a fullback with TE Frank Wycheck out of action
for a while. That leaves the Titans with only two TEs and they may periodically
use Holcombe or Dwone Hicks as a H-back/ fullback.
--QB Steve McNair has a left knee sprain that may cause him to miss some practice. But he's
played through a 100 injuries that were worse. Don't expect it to have a bearing
on him Sunday in Indianapolis.
