The Insiders take on week-two of the 2003 NFL season, in this segment of "What's My Line"

Game Match-Up

Home Line

Our Pick

Brief Notes

Washington at Atlanta

Should be an interesting and physical contest. Washington will pressure quarterback Doug Johnson and the lack of numbers at wide receiver could sway this game. Historically, the team that runs the football effectively wins this game.

Cleveland at Baltimore

The Baltimore offense will struggle with rookie quarterback Kyle Boller and the Browns offense matches up well with the Ravens.

Detroit at Green Bay

A struggling Green Bay defense and an offense that will have problems without its top-two wide receivers spells trouble against the Lions. Take the Lions and the points.

Tennessee at Indianapolis

Playoff preview game here. The Indianapolis defense will keep this game close, but the Titans are as solid as any team in the AFC.

Buffalo at Jacksonville

Buffalo could be the true sleeper keeper of the 2003 season. The offense is explosive and with a revamped defense in place, the Bills will roll the Jags.

Pittsburgh at Kansas City

Offensive showdown! Both match strengths vs. weaknesses in this one. A better Pittsburgh defense should be determining factor.

Houston at New Orleans

New Orleans is inconsistent and plays to the level of the competition. Houston matches up well with New Orleans and the Texans defense will keep this game close. Take the Texans and the points.

Miami at New York Jets

Both coming off disappointing losses in week-one. Jets are susceptible to the run and Miami will pound the ball at the Jets. Vinny Testaverde has not played well in recent outings and this Jets team could be what the doctor ordered for a Miami team that needs a solid performance.

San Francisco at St. Louis

San Francisco

Shootout in St. Louis. The Rams defensive backfield is questionable and the 49ers have taken on the aggressive personality of their head coach. The lack of quality depth at the wide receiver position will fail the Rams in this key divisional battle.

Seattle at Arizona

This could be the year that the Seahawks live up to the Mike Holmgren hype. The offense is solid, the Arizona defense is not. A big game should be in the making for the Seattle passing game.

Carolina at Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay

Short week, new starters having a game under their belt, the Bucs are poised to win. The Carolina defense is sound and should keep the game close, but Tampa Bay is a solid pick against an offensively challenged Panthers squad.

Cincinnati at Oakland

All the numbers tell us that Oakland should cover, but this is my hunch game of the week.

New England at Philadelphia

The Philadelphia offense was terrible against the Bucs on Monday night, which data leads me to believe the Eagles come back strong against the Pats. This game will be close, injuries on the defensive side of the ball could derail the Philly Express.

Denver at San Diego

The San Diego defense played poorly in their loss to Kansas City last week and a Marty Schottenheimer defense usually rebounds well. Denver is no KC, but if Jake Plummer performs as poorly as he did last week, the Chargers have a chance.

Chicago at Minnesota

The Bears are the worst team in the league, the Vikings on the other hand are vastly improved and playing with the intensity of head coach Mike Tice. Even with injuries in the defensive backfield, Minnesota wins easily.

Dallas at New York Giants

New York Giants

The Tuna goes back home to the Meadowlands, to bad he won't be welcomed after the game starts. Too much firepower in New York for a Dallas team that has glaring issues along the offensive line and at quarterback.

And for the straight-up players……………………….

Washington over Atlanta

Cleveland over Baltimore

Green Bay over Detroit

Tennessee over Indianapolis

Buffalo over Jacksonville

Pittsburgh over Kansas City

New Orleans over Houston

Miami over New York Jets

San Francisco over St. Louis

Seattle over Arizona

Tampa Bay over Carolina

Oakland over Cincinnati

Philadelphia over New England

Denver over San Diego

Minnesota over Chicago
