The Day After; Miami

News and notes on the Miami Dolphins.

--TE Donald Lee didn't receive much playing time in Sunday's 21-10 victory over the New York Jets. Lee was used extensively in the season-opener against Houston but he committed two penalties and forced Miami to call a timeout when lining up in the wrong formation.
--FB Rob Konrad caught two passes in last Sunday's 21-10 victory over the New York Jets, which was his first game without wearing a cast over his surgically-repaired right pinkie. Konrad also was used as a tight end on several occasions to help LT Wade Smith block Jets DE John Abraham.
--LT Wade Smith did a solid job in last Sunday's 21-10 victory over the New York Jets. Smith, who held his own against Jets DE John Abraham with some help from Miami's blocking schemes, could stay in the starting lineup even when Mark Dixon (ankle) is ready to play again.
--LT Mark Dixon will probably be out until an Oct. 5 game against Washington while recovering from right ankle surgery. Dolphins coach Dave Wannstedt wouldn't say whether Dixon or rookie replacement Wade Smith would remain his starting left tackle after the latter returns.
--RB Ricky Williams had his second-highest carry total (34) since joining the Dolphins, rushing for 125 yards in last Sunday's 21-10 victory over the New York Jets. Williams also made an impact as a receiver with four catches for 37 yards and was sent in motion to the right on six occasions to keep the Jets off balance defensively.
