Saints Post Game Notes

News and notes from week-three of the NFL season.

--FB Terrelle Smith, who was limited in practice this week with a strained left knee, played against the Titans even though he did not start. The Saints opened with two wide receivers, two tight ends and one running back.
   --DT Henry Ford played Sunday for the first time since signing with the Saints on July 27 and went against his former team. He missed all of the preseason with in his right ankle and underwent surgery on Aug. 25.
   --LB Cie Grant, who missed the first two games after having arthroscopic knee surgery on Aug. 27, was inactive for the third straight week.
   --SLB Sedrick Hodge is out for six-to-eight weeks with a hairline fracture in his lower right leg.
   --LCB Dale Carter underwent surgery this week to have a small plate inserted into the fractured orbit bone around his right eye. He'll be out for up to a month.
   --DT Johnathan Sullivan tore the meniscus in his left knee and will likely be out two-to-three weeks after undergoing surgery on Wednesday.
   --DE Darren Howard had surgery on his dislocated right wrist on Sept. 8 and will be sidelined for another nine-to-11 weeks
