--WR Laveranues Coles fought through a bad start to post his third consecutive 100-yard game (seven catches, 105 yards). He continues to lead the NFL in receiving yardage (391 yards).
--QB Patrick Ramsey is the
NFL's only quarterback with two 300-yard passing games after rallying Washington
to overtime against the Giants. He ranks second in the NFL with a 95.1
--DT Jermaine Haley played despite a broken thumb that
had him inactive a week earlier. Haley was fairly effective in the middle, but
he later admitted that his hand hurt on basically every play.
--DT Lional Dalton was made inactive with Jermaine Haley returning to the
lineup. The Redskins apparently are intent on having seven defensive linemen
active on gamedays, and there have to be four ends because they are the four
linemen on third downs (Bruce Smith, Regan Upshaw, Renaldo Wynn and Peppi Zellner).
--CB Fred Smoot played despite suffering a concussion
just three days earlier. He was surprisingly physical for someone who could have
been concerned about re-injury, but he didn't fare particularly well against
Giants WR Ike Hilliard (seven catches, 58 yards).
