Lions Monday Madness

Lions team news and notes.

-- CB Andre' Goodman, who suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the 23-13 loss Sunday to Minnesota, probably has been lost for the rest of the season. He dislocated the same shoulder at South Carolina and required surgical repairs which involve an extended recuperation period.
-- PR/KOR Eddie Drummond, who was among the NFC leaders in both punt and kickoff returns, suffered a sprained MCL and high ankle sprain in the right leg Sunday in the Lions' 23-13 loss to Minnesota and is expected to miss several games. Before the injury, Drummond was averaging 18.5 yards on six punt returns and 23.1 yards on 14 kickoff returns.
-- WR Shawn Jefferson appears doubtful for at least the near future because of a rib injury suffered Sunday. "He's a tough guy, he wants to play today but he's unable to breathe," said coach Steve Mariucci, only partly joking.
-- QB Joey Harrington's passer rating has slipped from 116.0 to 66.6 and now to 58.9 after his second consecutive three-interception game Sunday. Harrington suffered a dislocated forefinger on his right hand but missed only one game after having it put back in place and taped by trainer Al Bellamy.
-- CB Dre' Bly probably has been the Lions' best player in the first three games of the season. He struggled in the first regular season game after missing the entire preseason with a sprained ankle, but has had an interception in each of the Lions' first three games and did a commendable job covering Vikings WR Randy Moss on Sunday.
