Bills Monday Madness

Bills team news and notes.

--CB Antoine Winfield continued to play like a man whose contract expires this season and is looking for a big score. He made seven tackles, was solid in coverage, and forced a Ricky Williams fumble that Takeo Spikes returned to the Miami 16.
--FB Sam Gash, who was brought in to be the lead blocker in Buffalo's supposed power running game, hasn't had much of an effect. He had a new role against the Dolphins for one play as he carried on a three-yard dive up the middle, his first carry since Dec. 23, 2001 when he was with Baltimore.
--RT Mike Williams, the fourth overall pick in the 2002 draft, has not played particularly well. The Bills have not been able to run behind the 370-pounder like they expected to, and he was beaten cleanly for a sack by Adewale Ogunleye.
--P Brian Moorman is having a Pro Bowl season. He came into the game leading the league in both gross and net punting, and he averaged 50 gross and 41.3 net against the Dolphins with three of his punts traveling 64, 58 and 52 yards.
--RB Travis Henry left the game midway through the second quarter with bruised ribs and did not return. His status for Philadelphia was in question.
--RB Joe Burns entered the game midway through the second quarter when Travis Henry bruised his ribs, and he contributed six carries for 22 yards. Burns was pressed into duty because backup running back Sammy Morris was inactive due to a groin injury.
