Monday Transactions Report

· The Minnesota Vikings have released TE Byron Chamberlain, who just returned from a four game suspension. Chamberlain went through a physical and workout, but was released for being overweight.

· The Miami Dolphins have made the following roster moves on Monday: Signed P Matt Turk to a one-year deal. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, released C Joe Iorio from the team's practice squad, and signed C Shawn Lynch to the team's practice squad.

· The Indianapolis Colts have signed OT Makoa Freitas to the active roster from the practice squad.

· Dallas Cowboys DL Greg Ellis, who is in the final year of his original contract, signed a six-year contract extension worth a total of $24 million, including a $4.2 million signing bonus.

· Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jimmy Smith has been reinstated to the league following his serving of a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Smith was in good spirits and met with head coach Jack DelRio today.
