Combine Session Report- Centers

A total of ten centers were invited to the combine and there is no guarantee they will all get drafted. Here's a look at how the blockers on the pivot did.

Listed alphabetically by group.

Group 1

Toby Cecil: Average at best. Struggled sliding out, not quick on the move and generally looked unathletic.

Rex Hadnot: Moved well and was quick footed in a small area. Quick with his hands and displayed good punch but did not show much explosion and cannot adjust.

Nick Hardwick: Worked hard and did a good job with his angles but was all over the place and really struggled with his footwork.

Scott Jackson: Talk about night and day….Jackson tested well and ran better than expected in the forty but did not look nearly as athletic during his session. Tentative, he struggled with his footwork and lateral movement skills. Jackson was very tight in his hips and practiced back on his heels.

Group 2

Nick Leckey: Displayed adequate quickness and explosion but lacked footwork, lateral slide skills and was off balance in space.

Josh Sowell: Possibly the best session of all the centers. Effective in space with decent footwork and lateral slide skills. Also was ale to move his hips.

Kurt Sigler: Struggled; showed marginal footwork, blocking range and was a little stiff.

Alex Stepanovich: Worked hard and attacked the session but lacked footwork and the ability to slide laterally. Could not kick-out or pull.

Scott Wells: Very good session. Moved well pulling across the line, showed better feet than on film and solid hips.
