Outback Bowl, 1/1: Ohio State-South Carolina

Its' déjà vu' all over again! This was the game last January where the Gamecocks pulled a surprised, which cost John Cooper his job with the Buckeye's.  Role reversal as the Cocks were hoping for better things in 2001 while the Buckeyes went beyond expectations.

Already Ohio State has one junior that's declared for the draft, corner Derrick Ross who'll miss this game with injury. If safety Michael Doss follows suit he could move into the first frame. As mentioned earlier, watch Buckeye back Jonathan Wells.

The Gamecocks could be without impact defender Kalimba Edwards going full speed as the DE/OLB sprained a knee against Tennessee. Edwards, who had an uneventful season, needs to impress scouts if he's going to move into the top 12. Many are high on Sheldon Brown, a big play corner with nice size/speed numbers, but we need to see more consistency from him. USC has a few nice sized, but slow, wide outs that will get late round consideration.

Ohio St: Steve Bellisari/QB-S, LeCharles Bentley/C, Courtland Bullard/OLB, Adrien Clarke/G, Mike Collins/DT, Joe Cooper/OLB, Michael Doss/S, Jamar Martin/FB, Donnie Nickey/S, Jason Ott/ILB, Derek Ross/CB, Darnell Sanders/TE, Tyson Walter/T, Jonathan Wells/RB, Matt Wilhelm/ILB

USC: James Adkisson/WR, Corey Alexander/WR, Sheldon Brown/CB, Kalimba Edwards/DE, Andre Goodman/CB, Kevin Harney/OLB, Antoine Nesmith/S, Willie Offord/S, Melvin Paige/T, Andrew Pinnock/FB, Brian Scott/WR, Derek Watson/RB
