Scouting the Las Vegas Bowl for NFL prospects

The Wyoming Cowboys get back to the bowl season after an 11 year absence. UCLA for it's part is coming off a solid campaign and has the best NFL-prospects in the contest. Several solid pass catchers including a potential star in the making.

Ed Blanton/T/4Jr/73: Solid pass protector with good upside for the next level.  Must improve his run blocking but must be kept on the radar screen.

Craig Bragg/WR/5Sr/87:  Reliable wide out also effective as a return specialist.  Does not stand out in any single aspect yet could find a home as a fifth wide out in the NFL.

Eyoseph Efseaff/G/5Sr/64: Rough-n-tumble blocker with marginal upside for the next level.

Ben Emanuel/S/5Sr/2: Nice sized safety best defending the run.  Has difficulty in deep center field and better suited for zone system.

Spencer Havner/ILB/4Jr/41: Terrific run stuffing linebacker that makes a lot of tackles.  May sit out this one with injuries.

Marcedes Lewis/TE/3Jr/19: Outstanding athlete and a star in the making at tight end.  Consistently gets downfield making plays in the defensive secondary and an excellent pass catcher.

Pat Norton/FB/5Sr/47: Blue collar worker and solid lead fullback but a limited athlete.

Jarrad Page/S/3Jr/4: Complete safety that flashes skill yet needs to show more consistency.

Tab Perry/WR/5Sr/1: Well traveled pass catcher with good size.  May have finally seen the light as he is coming off a solid senior campaign and moving up draft boards.

Manuel White Jr./FB/5Sr/29: Collegiate halfback that projects as a triple threat fullback in the NFL.  Potential first day choice with solid pre-draft workouts.

Michael Bouknight/WR/5Sr/9: Nice sized wide out with big play ability.  Not mentioned much in scouting circles but gaining notice this year.

Isaac Morales/G/5Sr/66:  Strong blocker with a nice guard build.  Lacks explosion, athleticism and upside for the next level.  Missed the '03 campaign due to grades.
