Nebraska cornerback enters draft

A prospect with good upside at a priority position, Nebraska's Fabian Washington has thrown his hat into the ring and decided to enter April's draft.

A starter the past three seasons, Washington based much of his decision on his "family's financial situation" which he claimed "is not in the best"

Washington was a third-team All-Big 12 pick after breaking up 10 passes and intercepting four.  He has led the Huskers in pass defenses the past three seasons.

Analysis: We mentioned Washington and his skills during our pre-season report of Nebraska prospects back in August.  And while we feel he would've been better off returning to NU for another season, the disappointing campaigns turned in by many of the top senior prospects coupled with a general lack of depth at the position could make this a wise choice as Washington fits into the draft's first day.
