The coaching search in Cleveland and San Francisco has yielded many of the same candidates interviewing for the elusive and tough jobs ahead within each team.

Scout has learned the Cleveland Browns have decided on New England Patriots (and former Cleveland defensive coordinator) Romeo Crennel to become the next head coach of the Browns.

The Browns are unable to officially offer the position to Crennel until the Patriots' season has concluded. Sources close to the team do not anticipate any issues which would deter the hiring at season's end.

Scout has learned the San Francisco 49ers are in discussions with Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Nolan to become the next coach of the team. Nolan, a well-traveled and respected defensive mind was the number-one candidate for the position.

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to name defensive line coach, Rex Ryan as the new defensive coordinator of the Ravens once Nolan officially becomes a member of the 49ers organization.

Additionally, the Ravens are set to announce former Giants' head coach Jim Fassel will become the offensive coordinator for Baltimore and Rick Neuheisel is expected to be hired as the quarterbacks coach for the Ravens.
