2005 Defensive Tackle Rankings

Not nearly as strong as recent draft classes, the defensive tackles this April are mostly undersized, one-gap linemen that need to play next to a wide body at the next level. Still, there is plenty of talent and potential in this group.

5 Luis Castillo Northwestern 4Sr Tough, slug-it-out lineman that may also be effective on the nose. Gives good effort and makes a lot of plays against the run.
6 Mike Patterson USC 4Sr Hard working tackle tough to stop. Undersized and will be drafted lower than his grade calls for get a good prospect for the next level.
7 Jason Jefferson Wisconsin 5Sr Explosive tackle who lacks top size. May be best in a three technique.
