The Scout.com network is live at Florida State's pro day and TFY Draft Preview will be posting updates as they come in. This is an all-important day for Alex Barron, the big left tackle who shrugged off the Senior Bowl and combine earlier this year.
On Wednesday, the Scout.com network will be at Alabama's pro day, as well as covering the morning's events in Arkansas. Thursday we will have people present at the UAB and Cal workouts and will post information throughout the day.
Recently, Tony Ficklin had his workout. The defensive end from San Jose State wowed scouts by turning in a 39-inch vertical jump, completing 38 repititions on the bench, then running a pair of forties in the low 4.7's. Ficklin will again workout for scouts next Thursday and hopes to become the first prospect to hit the "40/40" mark — complete 40-reps on the bench and post a 40-inch vertical jump.
Stanford had four players invited to the Senior Bowl and combine, but David Bergeron was not one of them. Yet that has not stopped the middle linebacker from impressing scouts. Lost amongst the many good performances last week was Bergeron's workout. He ran his forty in 4.59 seconds while posting times of 4.17 in the 20-yard shuttle, 6.92 in the three-cone and recorded a leap of 34 inches in the vertical jump.
Finally, Adrian McPherson, the passer on his way up draft boards, was originally set to workout in Tallahassee tomorrow but those plans have changed. The big-armed passer has now set March 29 as his Pro Day and will perform in front of scouts at Southeast High School in Bradenton, Fla.
