Prospect Profile: Tyler Jones

Tyler Jones School: Boise State
Ht: 6-1 Wt: 201 40: 5.05 Year: 4Sr

Bio: Former walk-on awarded All-Conference honors the past two seasons as well as being named All-American as a senior. Connected on 88.9% of his field goals last year, with a long of 48 yards. Also averaged 62 yards on 105 kick offs, with 36 being called for touchbacks. Has a career long field goal of 52 yards.

Positives: Big legged kicker who consistently gets the ball through the end zone from the college mark. Drives the ball off the tee and rarely has kick offs returned. Kicked well at the Combine hitting on 66% of his field goal attempts outside of 45 yards. Also booted a kick off 70 yards.

Negatives: Gets marginal hang time on his kicks and line drives the ball.

Analysis: A prospect with good potential for the next level, Jones must improve the hang time of his kick offs and slightly improve the accuracy of his long range field goals. Solid late round pick who could develop into a team's starting kicker two seasons down the road.
